Good morning, dear friends, 
Continuing from my postings on on Signs and Omens, here are some Chinese interpretations for those times when we experience a sound that goes…”ngee” in our ears and our hearing is impaired momentarily as if there is something like pressure blocking our ear canal. These were taken from the Tung Shu, The Ancient Chinese Almanac which dates back to thousands of years ago from China, when physical sensations in our body were interpreted for fortune telling! 
Again, you have to remember when the sensation in the ear started and you refer to the appropriate period of time to get an interpretation of the ear incidence. 
Ringing in the Ears
11pm – 1am
If there is ringing in your left ear, this means that your girlfriend or loved one is thinking of you. If in the right ear, then you will lose money.
1am – 3am
In the left ear, this means you will have a quarrel. In the right, then you will have a more serious dispute.
3am – 5am
If there is ringing in the left ear, this means you will lose some money. If the right ear, then you will be rushed off your feet.
5am – 7am
In the left ear, this means you will have a feast. If the right ear, then a friend will come to visit.
7am – 9am
If in the left ear, this means you will go on a journey. If the right ear, then a friend is on its way.
9am – 11am
If there is ringing in the left ear, this means a negative incident may happen. If in the right ear, then all is well (luck is coming).
11am – 1pm
In the left ear, this means that you will receive a letter from far away (hmmm…wonder how this would apply in this modern Internet age these days?). If the right ear, then a relative will come to visit.
1pm to 3pm
In the left year, this means you will have a drink or a feast (party). If the right ear, this means a friend from far away is coming.
3pm to 5pm
In the left ear, this means you are going on a journey. If the right ear, then you can expect a happy event.
5pm – 7pm
In the left ear, this means you will lose money. In the right ear, then you are in for good luck.
7pm – 9pm
If in the left ear, this means you will have a feast. If in the right ear, then a friend is on its way.
9pm – 11pm
In the left ear, this means good luck. If the right ear, then feasting will come your way.
Burning Sensation in Your Ear
I am not sure what exactly this sensation is like as it is not described, and I wonder if those occasional itch in the ears are classified under this. 
But anyway, watch out for this sensation happening in the time period 11pm to 9am ===> it is very, very auspicious with good things foretold like financial windfall, good luck, good fortune, great feasting….!

What if your ear flutters is that the same as ringing?
How about twitching of the lips, i hear if the left side twitches some is lying on you. my left ear would flutter all day then my left side of my top lip would twitch then my left eyebrow. I start looking like elvis.
temporarily my right side would twitch and itch and flutter of my lips, ear and hand so i’m confused or am i just a magnet for chaos because my life is chaotic.
I’m supertious but I’m just not sure at this moment…

I’m sorry I’m not sure what is a ear flutter.
However, it will not have the same meanings as the ear ringing. Sometimes, we get some tics and twitches due to stress and fatigue. Perhaps, you may like to consult a doctor if the twitches are occurring too frequently.

This is very interesting. Ringing in the ear always occurs to me and burning sensations usually always occur with my mom. She eventually begins rubbing it, so it may constitute an itching sensation. She says that the burning usually means someone is talking about her, just like when you get hiccups, someone is remembering you. All of this is so cool! Thanks.

Thank you for your comments and sharing of experience. It is a belief, too, that when our ears are itchy, then someone is talking about us. I can’t remember exactly which ear for what, it was like, for example, if our right ear itches, someone is talking about good things of us, and vice versa….something like that. Yes, we also have the same belief for hiccups, someone is talking about us.

Its almost 10pm. My right ear rang with a burning felling at the same time. Sort of like a very powerful burst of ringing. According to the list a friend is on their way. Since the burning was there but not during the hours that bring goodluck….is it safe to say it might be a visit of ill fortune? Curious what you thought, SpazZztastickle.

These are just beliefs, not to be unduly worried over. In Chinese Traditional Medicine, ringing in the ears is a sign of body heatiness and when we take cooling stuff to cool the body (balancing), the ringing should go away.

1) a friend will turn up, or
2) you will have a party/feast to attend
Only thing is, it doesn’t tell you what time frame to expect those events.

Yes, you are right. Noises in the ears occurring frequently is a condition called “tinnitus.”
To get the meaning of a sign or omen from ringing in the ears – the ringing happens only once or twice at most, and the time is noted for reference to the guide above.

Ok so when I was in b block english my teacher turns off the lights.
Now I sit next to the guy I like and when ever I look over at him my left ear will ring and my nose will itch. What does this mean?!?
He came up to me one day and asked me if this happens to me and I said yes.
Its happens every time I see him but only b block (8:57 am to 9:44 am)

Good question you have there! Unfortunately, I don’t know how to interpret the meaning of two ears ringing at the SAME time.
Hmmm…maybe you can refer to guide for 2 meanings, i.e. for the right ear and then the left ear at that period of time? 
No, it doesn’t matter if the ring is low or high…as long as there is a “ngee-ing” sound happening.

Duh, ringing in the ear is a sign of nerve damage. Mine ring 24/7 both ears. It’s a medical condition, and I’m guessing at some time all of those things you mention will happen to me.

The signs and omens chart here will not work for you as your ears ring 24/7.
The type of ear ringing referred to here happens only for one time only, just a short burst of ear ringing. Then we note the time that happened and refer to the chart for its meaning.
Any more ear ringing than that would mean a health issue and a visit to the doctor is recommended.

It the ear ringing forms in the other ear and another time, then refer to the chart above for that time period and ear.
Yesterday, I was watching a documentary on TV and a doctor says that it is usual to have ear ringing for a few minutes…but if it goes on for days, it is best to see a doctor. Ear ringing can be due to stress, lack of sleep, too much caffeine, etc from the medical point of view.

The type of ringing in the ear for referral to this guide here happens only for short occasions, maybe once or a few times only…not always.
If your ear is always ringing, it could be due to a medical cause and maybe you can visit a Ear, Nose, Throat Physician to have your ears checked out.
Some people have tinnitus…a medical condition with ringing in the ear. However, some persistent ringing in the ears could be just due to stress, lack of sleep, anxiety, etc. According to Traditional Chinese Medicine, ringing in the ears means our body is overly heaty and we should take some cooling foodstuff or herbs to balance our health.

I haven’t even gone a day without crying from leaving my boyfriend (I live in ct he lives in Georga) and we won’t see each other for a year.
But the thing is when ever I think of him I want to cry then my ear rings. Now it’s been my left ear both times, and the times were 12:38 pm and I sent him a letter with my phone number to him also 3:28 pm and we were traveling at that time just in sepret cars. I really hope that we will stay together forever and I’m only 13 and he’s 12 but I want to ask him to marry me but I’m sooo confused!

Both of you are still very young. At the moment, I understand your are heartbroken at being separated with your boyfriend. Time will heal your heart slowly…..at the end of one year, re-assess your feelings for him and if they are still as strong and he is still as in love with you, then you can continue your relationship.

P.S. If you right ear has been ringing continuously, then you take the time that your ear first started ringing and refer to the chart above.
Just try to be mindful and cautious…make sure your purse is safe with you, etc.
I usually advise the readers here that if they get a negative sign of their ear ringing or eye twitching, just be more careful in the things they do to prevent those omens from happening.

Scientifically, there are reasons why our ears ring. Even in Traditional Chinese Medicine, ringing in the ears means our body is overly heaty and we need to take cooling foods and drinks.
The guide here is only referred to out of interest why our ears ring. For me, if the sign is negative..then it is a sign for me to be more careful in the things that I do to prevent that unfortunate event from happening. If the sign is good and auspicious, then we should enjoy the moment and think positive thoughts!

We have a slightly different version for itchiness in the ears
– when our left ear itches (not ringing), then it means someone is talking bad about us. The opposite goes for the other ear itchiness.

Hi my name is staci and my thing is like when I go on with the day my right top ear twitches and good things happen but when my earlobe twitches its usually bad and its on my right ear.just wondering if it’s omen or not

Had my ear ring at 2:15 and I read the meaning but am having trouble understanding what he meaning is when it says “I’ll be rushed to my feet”. Do you have any idea?

The phrase “If the right ear, then you will be rushed off your feet” refers to the 3am to 5am time slot of ear ringing….however, I am not sure what it meant exactly
… I can only guess that you may be in a real hurry or rush over something.

It depends on the time when the ringing happens in your left ear. The next time your any side of your ear rings, take note of the time it started ringing and then refer to the guide above for its meaning.

Hi this site is useful, but u see… Every time I get the ringing in my ear. Actually the best way to describe it is, its like a machine when it flat lines, not the doot doot, but the last bit when it goes doooooooo. Anyway when I get that its usually a warning that something bad has happened or is going to happen. Any thoughts? Thanks.

Some people may wonder how ear ringings can tell us what’s going to happen, other than it being a medical condition. But for some people, the ear ringings actually happen as a sign or warning for us to be careful. It is like our Higher Self communication to us to be extra careful and mindful for that period.

Greetings, I’m a pisces & believe strongly in all sorts of superstition. I’ve always found that my left ear would burn if I have a connection with someone I’m attracted to. The ear ringing however is interesting

I have had intermitant ringing for 40 years I think you are all mind blocking your self to the real meaning as a child I looked at it diferent it seamed too be trying to someget my attention Idecided to pick one side for yes one side for no the annoying ring when I didn’t want it unless there was a cause for me to take notice of my suroundings kind of a warning and found that if i had a troubling question i could ask in my head and get a ringing for an answer i picked left for yes right for no sometimes having yes or no questions is hampering the comunication but my ears usually only ring when i’am getting answer or a warning has really guided me through life i think this is why ears ring and when they do people then get the something wrong just not right then think it must be answered medacaly people with ringing try and keep open mind see if it helps fine hairs super sensetive how else could you feel,hear ringing whisper singing the older you get yeah the harder there trying to get through like all comunication takes some ciphering to understand each other the acient chinese were close but trying to cipher so everybody could understand

It’s 11:19 pm right now my left ear rang and I just finished talking to my boyfriend. Like right now he just texted me “Can’t stop thinking about your beautiful face.” I am happy and kinda freaked out

sooo crazy! I come to this site often because lately I have been having ringing in my ears. All kinds of things have been happening following the ear ringing. For instance, one was about a feast, this saturday we are feasting at a relatives house, and another one was a visit, which my aunt is visiting from far away, she will be at the feast! =)

Very interesting. Just curious, do the omens still mean anything if both ears are ringing at the same time? Is it treated as 2 separate ones or do they cancel each other out?

If both ears ring at the same time, then we take the signs separately. But if one means good luck and the other sign means bad luck…perhaps they will cancel each other out? I am not sure
