Sticky Lemon Chicken Recipe

Dear friends,

Phew! It has been a very hectic week for me thus far and I was not able to post anything on my blog – my husband’s car is in the workshop because it got very badly damaged in a car accident, and I have to send him to work also in addition to my daily schedule of things to do.

Today, after spending most of the day running some errants and shopping in a Tesco hypermarket for groceries, I had very little time to prepare dinner for my family when I reached home. 🙄

Then, I remembered Gordon Ramsay’s Easy Yummy Lemon Chicken recipe and as I had bought some chicken thighs from Tesco, I decided to try out his recipe as it looked so simple to cook this as seen on his video. Wow, all it took was just about 25 minutes to get this dish ready. Easy!

Best is, this dish turned out so delicious as the tangy, lemony and sweet flavours just whet our appetites and it was very hard for me to stick to my 2 tablespoons of rice (yes, I am still on my yoga exercise and diet regime 😆 ), and my family loved this dish, too. The sauce was thick enough and the butter that I had added while browning the chicken gave it a richer flavour. 😉

Also, the rinds of the lemon slices can be eaten and they tasted like pickled lemons (there was no bitter taste to the rind) and was very yummy as well! I didn’t serve this dish with champ as per Gordon Ramsay’s recipe but it went very well with white rice, too.

I read in a magazine just this week that we can eat fresh lemon rind to get rid of our cravings for sweet stuff like cakes, candies, soda pops, etc. 😉

Good night and sweet dreams….I will be back later with a few nutritious recipes that I had cooked these few days, complete with some pictures that I had taken. So, stay tuned, dear friends! 😀

Much peace and joy to all,

Good day choesf! You’ve got a fantastic website here with lots of great recipes and tips.

This chicken dish looks yummy. However, I can’t seem to find sherry vinegar. What’s a good subsitute for that?

    Cheers 🙂

Hi there and welcome, dear Amber 😀

Thank you for your lovely comments. Yes, this is a really yummy chicken dish. I don’t have sherry vinegar either and what I did was add more wine and a few teaspoons of white rice vinegar. I also think that you can omit the sherry vinegar and just add more lemon juice 💡

    Happy Cooking!

    With best wishes,

    choesf 😀
