Some Time Out For HappyHomemaker88

Good evening, dear friends 😀

Long time no see! I’m sorry that I have not been updating my blog for a while but there have been so many things happening in the last couple of weeks. At first, I had sprained my wrists after doing some mopping of my house 🙄 and that put me out of commission from doing my chores and cooking for a few days. Good thing was, I enjoyed being a couch potato, watching TV all day long! 😆

Then, within the last few days, my husband and I attended a friend;s birthday party, a grandnephew’s full moon’s (one month old) party, a good friend’s wedding, and a funeral of an old friend’s mother. All on different days, of course.

Yesterday, my husband suffered from a pinched nerve at the neck and was experiencing excruciating pain from his neck all the way down his left arm to his fingers. Previously, whenever he has any sprains, he would recover after a session of massage from my massage/healer lady but this time round, he wasn’t feeling any better. By midnight, I had persuaded him to see doctor for his pain and off we went, to the Emergency room of a hospital nearby. The doctor there checked his heart, found it to be fine and prescribed a dose of painkillers for my husband.

But still, the pain didn’t go away and my husband just couldn’t lay down to sleep as that position just aggravated his suffering. So, this morning, again we went to the hospital and this time, he saw an orthopaedic surgeon who requested for some x-rays and physiotherapy done for husband. We found out that my husband was suffering from a pinched nerve and not just a muscle or nerve sprain, and right now, my husband is now finally asleep after taking an even stronger dose of pain medication which included Valium to help him sleep. Phew! I have never been so happy and relieved to hear my husband snore loudly in bed before! 😆

Just a short note here to let you know what’s been happening when I went missing from here and I will be right back with more recipes.

Take care and stay safe, okay?

Good night and sweet dreams!

With best wishes,

choesf 😀

I’m very glad to hear from you. Well, I think there is a saying, “It never rains, but it pours” or something like that? I’ll email you in a little while.

    Love and many hugs back,

Lordy lordy dear choesf – you’ve had more than your fair share of things to deal with lately 🙂

Here’s hoping you get a chance for some “me time” soon! I am also hoping your husband is feeling much better, what a lot of pain he must have been in and to have to go to the hospital twice is quite cruel when the pain is that bad.

Sending you love and good wishes xx

Thank you so much for your comforting words, my dear sweetrosie! I’m happy to say that my husband is finally getting some relief from his pain after having had 2 sessions with a chiropractor and after having some detoxifying Chinese herbal drinks. Phew! I’m looking forward to some “me time” next week when my husband goes back to work. 😆

You have a wonderful weekend now, okay?
