Getting Into The Chinese New Year Festive Mood..

Good morning, dear friends πŸ˜€

Wow, the Chinese New Year is just another 8 days away and I am running very behind in my Chinese New Year preparations (don’t I always every year!Β  πŸ˜† ).

Heheh, I was supposed to have finishedΒ  decluttering and cleaning my house by last weekend, but then I thought, my kids are going to get things messy anyway..so, I am deferring some tidying jobs then. πŸ™„

Next week will be the shopping of Chinese New Year goodies, new clothes/shoes , decorations, prayer stuff, and changing new currency notes at the bank for Ang Pows.

Somehow, the Chinese New Year cheer and festive spirit seem to be a bit mellow this year, probably because many people are cutting back on their spending due to the uncertain economic future.

So, I thought I would set the tone at my blog here to get myself (and you also πŸ˜† ) into some Chinese New Year mood by having some traditional Chinese New Year songs and videos played here. These were copied from YouTube and I have been listening to them since I was a kid…so they do bring back fond memories of my childhood.

Tomorrow, I will post here my Chinese New Year’s Eve Family Reunion Dinner Menu.

It’s past midnight now and I am going to bed! Good Night and Sweet Dreams from KL! πŸ˜€

With peace and joy,

choesf πŸ˜€

You are very welcome, dear Louise πŸ˜€

I got all my photos and this year’s Chinese New Year Family Reunion Dinner menu all ready for posting here last night and then my Internet connection was disrupted. πŸ™„ Now, I have to wait for my husband to come home from work as my photos are stored in there. Luckily, I have my posts on Chinese New Year Preparations for last year here…basically, the preparations are quite similar – we start with decluttering the house…free up old energies and make space for new energies to come in. Then it’s extensive cleaning of the whole house…followed by lots of shopping…we have almost everything new and clean – and then it’s Chinese New Year cookie baking time! πŸ˜†

I came in here to take a breather from my chores..I will post again tonight. πŸ˜€

      With peace and joy,

I just want to ask this, on some websites they say that cures should be placed on the 4th of February not on the 26th of January?

Hi there and welcome, dear Lydia πŸ˜€

We are following Master atan’s Feng Shui Techniques and he is guiding us step-by-step on what cures and enhancers to put on what day. Technically, the annual Flying Stars will change position on the new solar year which begins on the 04th of February every year.

      With peace and harmony,

      Hi there, dear Ken πŸ˜€

Thank you for your comments. It’s too bad that we can’t get Old Spice here in Malaysia anymore. πŸ˜₯

Do have a wonderful weekend ahead!

      With best wishes,
