Vote EARTH – Switch off your lights & join the WORLD for EARTH HOUR 2009!

Good afternoon, dear friends 😀

This year, Earth Hour is being taken to the higher level, with a goal of 1 billion people worldwide switching off their lights as part of a global vote for our beloved Earth, against global warming.  This year, my family will be taking part in this global event and wherever you are, do join us and switch off your lights at –

8.30pm (your local time),  Saturday, 28 March 2009.

During Earth Hour, switching off our lights means we are voting for Earth, and leaving our lights on means we are supporting Global Warming. I have read that the ice caps will all have melted in 60 years time,  and it is a scary thought indeed to imagine how that will contribute to the rising sea waters in the world. Also, the weather climate will be terribly affected. I don’t know about your country, but here in Malaysia, we are experiencing unusually higher than normal rainfalls during this period, when we should have dry, hot weather. There are floods happening all over and many people are down with coughs and colds, caused by the hot and rainy weather.

Gather some loved ones, friends or organise a little event at home to make this even fun.  Spread the news around about Earth Hour and make more people aware that here is an opportunity to do our part and say our piece over protecting Mother Earth and reduce global warming.

I will be making some finger foods and  ice-cold lemonade for this event, and we will have have a little picnic in our garden … practically in the dark during Earth hour.  It will be fun! 😆

Happy Earth Hour 2009! 😀

Steamboat Lunch For A Lazy, Rainy Day

Hi there, dear friends 😀

Yesterday, I was feeling kind of lazy and was not up to cooking at all 😳 , and yet, I wanted to do something special for my family. Seeing as it has been raining and the days are quite cool these days, I decided to do a “Steamboat Lunch” instead.

A “steamboat” is like a hot pot or Chinese fondue, where there is a pot of hot simmering soup placed at the centre of the table, and a wide array of meats and vegetables are available for selection and cooked by the individual diners.

Ah, how wonderful for me – the cooking is left to my family, who enjoy tremendously our steamboat meals. All I needed to do was just make a simple chicken stock out of chicken necks and bones and prepare the meats and vegetables before the meal. Then, I just sat back and let my husband and children did all the cooking for me! Easy! 😉

A Steamboat with the soup simmering at the centre of my dining table, with meats to be cooked – from right:- fish balls, squid or sotong balls, Fu Zhou fishballs (stuffed with pork), crabsticks, tofu-fish squares. All these were purchased from the wet markets.

On the other side – oyster mushrooms in a bowl, golden needle mushrooms or Enoki, marinated pork and chicken slices, shelled prawns

Some soaked rice vermicelli, raw eggs, lettuce leaves…I also have on the other side some assortment of vegetables like sliced Napa Cabbage, kangkong…usually, the eggs and the noodles are to be eaten towards the end of the meal when the soup stock is really rich and tasty from cooking all those meats 😀

Each person has his/her own dipping sauce consisting of “teem cheong” or a kind of sweet sauce (hoisin sauce can be used in place of this), some finely chopped garlic and bird-eye chili (cili padi), with a squeeze of lime juice

We had this for lunch and I made double portions of the meats and vegetables – one half was eaten for lunch, and the other half was kept in the refrigerator for dinner. Dinner was a Thai spicy and sour soup noodle (Tomyam noodle). Yummy! 😀

Do have a wonderful week!

With peace and harmony,

choesf 😀

Bedroom Mountain Pictures – Another Unique Master atan’s FS Technique For Good Sleep & Support

Note – This post was made for 2009 Feng Shui. I will be posting the 2010 Bedroom Mountain Picture technique when Master atan announces it shortly. 😉

Good evening, dear friends 😀

Ah, this is another unique Master atan’s Feng Shui (FS) that has proven to be very effective in giving us a good night’s sleep and also backing us up with good support for the things we do in life.  For the Chinese culture with practices dating back thousands of years ago, homes are often sought with mountains behind them for steady support. But these days, with urban living instead of rural homes, finding a mountain behind our house would be hard indeed! 😆

Anyway, this technique is known as “Bedroom Mountain Pictures” or BMP in short, and a BMP is stuck onto the wall right above our bed’s headboard. However, only approved BMPs can be used as they have been “made safe” by Master atan for use in our bedrooms….there are 5 approved BMP photos to be selected from HERE.

This is a FREE service! 😀

Just select your favourite photo, print it out or have it digitally developed at the photo shops, stick it with Blue Tack to your bedroom wall (above your bed) and request for ACTIVATION HERE.

For best results, the BMP must not be framed nor laminated. Do not use your own mountain pictures.

I have copied here Master atan’s announcement on his “How to Feng Shui 2009 – Tip # 6” for you –

It is advisable to place a mountain picture above the bed’s headboard, and the bed’s  headboard must preferably rest against  a solid wall.

Placing a mountain picture above the headboard in any directions is effective in giving a person good sleep and support.

I find this method interesting because when one’s head is pointing towards his or her bad direction (as per their KUA number), the BMP can remove bad chi from the bad directions.

If one’s head is pointing towards a good direction , then the BMP will give strength and power to one’s good directions.

Just my little experiences on the Bedroom Mountain Technique – hope they help …

I would like to share some feedback on using this technique in the bedroom :-

1. It had lowered blood pressure for some – one reported it had reach a perfect reading 120/80 . Head pointing to health sector – West

2. Some don’t have to go to bathroom during their sleep time anymore. Somehow the mountain had strengthen the kidney or urinary bladder. Head pointing to health sector – West

3. Some reported the noise from outside the house is very much reduced – head pointing to North.

4. Some reported that many parts of their body pains are reduced or completely gone.

5. Some reported that their backbone pains are healed.

Generally,  most reported good sleep, and  feelings of safety and peace.

BMP size of about 5 inches will be sufficient.

Try it out – you may gain good sleep.

master atan.
