The Morning After……

Hi there, dear friends 😀

I am so glad to report that the morning after I had a field day of ecstatically happy emotions, I woke up early this morning  still filled with happy feelings and the song “Happy” by Pharrell Williams was playing continuously in my head! LOL!

Yesterday, I wrote about Wow, I am deliriously happy now and feel like a superwoman – serotonin boost after taking DE?” and because “happiness” is such an elusive emotion for some of us, I had wondered if my “happiness” tank was going to fizzle out by today.

Phew, it didn’t! As I am typing this, I am bobbing my head and tapping my feet to the song above – very contented that I didn’t suffer a crash of emotions  and I am still happy today, albeit at a more mellow level, but nonetheless, still preciously good for me.

Although they say that happiness is a state of the mind, I would like to believe that my body is able to now efficiently synthesize serotonin and I have a more stable source of serotonin to “happify” my moods.

Now, it is past noon already and I am soooo glad that Pharrell is still singing “Happy” in my head! Right, I am off to carry out more decluttering in my kitchen! LOL!

With best wishes,

choesf 😀

P.S. Hey, I feel like one of those “Jaegers” in the “Pacific Rim” movie and I had beaten the “Kaiju” monster of Crankiness & Irritability…hence, another of my favourite music is also playing in my head!

A Woman’s Roller Coaster Ride In Life – Menopause-d Yet? Part 1 : Bio-Identical Hormones To The Rescue!

What a ride!

Yep, I felt my mid-life was like that crazy  roller coaster ride!

Hi there, dear ladies  😀

It took me a really long time to finally sit down here and write about my peri-menopausal journey (warning – lengthy post here 😆  )  In my Asian/Chinese culture, we hardly discuss openly about menopause and therefore, I didn’t have a lot of expectations or information on it until recently.

My mom never talked about her menopausal experience to me. Neither did my sister, who was 20 years older and who had passed away from cancer when she was 55.  I had thought menopause is merely the cessation of menstruation.  Simple. Period.

After reading up a lot on the Internet and from books on menopause  ( heheh, I was actually trying to find out how the other menopausal women were feeling and whether what I was going through was normal or not) , I found out that every woman’s menopausal experience is unique and different…sigh…it is like comparing your own childbirth experience with other women’s!

Holy Basil ! Ocimum Tenuiflorum…. Another Wonderful Plant With Many Health Benefits – Good For The Heart !

Harvested Holy Basil for drying

Harvested Holy Basil for drying

Hi there, dear friends 😀

I never intended to write about the Holy Basil plant – “Tulsi” as it is more commonly known among the Hindus and as “Tulasi”  here in Malaysia. ….. I originally got a Tulasi plant back in 2003 more for cleansing and calming the energies in the compound/garden of my home.

I had learned from the Vasthu Sastera (Indian Feng Shui) traditions that  the Tulsi can absorb negative energies from its surroundings, and from people of ill intents – the Tulsi leaves would turn brown and look as if the plant was dying if it was exposed to negative energies. However, the plant will regenerate back its energy/qi and grow lushly again. 💡

Dried & Roasted Burdock Root Tea For Looking & Feeling Younger, Anti-Cancer, Improving Qi/Life Force Energy, Healing Liver, Anti-Aging, Hormones Balancing, Body Strengthening, Blood Purifying, Easing PMS/Menopausal Symptoms, Lowering Blood Sugars, Detoxification…

Dried, Roasted Burdock Root Tea

Dried, Roasted Burdock Root Tea

Hi there, dear friends 😀

I was first introduced to the exceptional health benefits of the Burdock Root (Gobo in Japanese, Ngau Pong in Cantonese, New Pang 牛蒡子 in Mandarin) when I was taught to make Tateshi Kazu’s Miracle Vegetable Soup  (which I had posted here in 2010) to help with my husband’s high blood pressure/cholesterol/urea acid and diabetes. Burdock root was one of the 5 ingredients in that soup.

I bought 3 burdock roots from my local market for only RM6-70 (USD2)

What got me really excited again recently  about using Burdock Root as a major healing food  was what I saw in a Korean health documentary show called, “Mysteries of the Human Body“. There was this Japanese doctor named Dr. Nagamo Yoshinori, a 58-year old doctor who looks 37 years old 😯 …and he showed the audience a photo of him taken 21 years ago, whereby he looked much older than now !

My Review Of The Amazing Jiaogulan Tea – It Can Really Help You To Lose Weight, Improve Complexion, Age Gracefully, Relax, Strengthen Body, Enhance Immunity/Health, Remove Peri/Menopause Effects, Restore Good Sleep, Give Energy!

A box of 40 Jiagulan teabags at RM6-50 or USD2-10 only

Hi there, dear friends 😀

For those of you new to this tea, do read my earlier introduction post on Jiagulan Tea HERE for its background information and how I stumbled upon this inexpensive but yet very powerful health tea. 💡

My daily “dosage” of Jiaogulan Tea ===> at least 3 to 4 cups daily; sometimes up to 7 cups on those days I need more energy for increased physical activities. On average, I would say that I drink 5 cups of that tea daily.

Tips 💡 ===> It helps to take the tea right after lunch and dinner for better digestion and “cut the oil/fat” from the food.  Be sure to continue drinking water while on this tea and to spread the consumption of this tea evenly throughout the day for best effect.

I will now go straight into my feedback and review after having drank the Jiaogulan Tea  (3 to 5 cups daily) for slightly more than 1 month. During that period, I refrained from drinking other types of herbal teas, coffee and tea, so that whatever effects I felt can be attributed to this tea alone 💡 .

Hi there, dear friends 😀

Among all the herbs I had came across todate, this one impresses me the most!

For the past few years, whenever anyone in my family complained of not sleeping well, I would go to my local Chinese Medicine Shop and get this dried tea. It was recommended by that shop’s boss and I always forgot the name of the tea leaves or herb because he only gave me its Chinese name. 😳

It was only last week when he gave me a few free satchets of that tea that I found out its name in English, and I could easily go look up the herb’s health benefits on the Internet…..and wow, what I found out really amazed and impressed me to no end! This is certainly one miracle herbal tea indeed! 😯

I stopped whatever herbal teas I was on before and I am now taking just the Jiaogulan Tea to test it out (please read my long-winded feedback in the comments box # 4 below). My youngest son who had complained of not sleeping well … well, he now sleeps like a log, has more energy and can concentrate more on preparing for his exams! 😀

Whoo…hooo! I Found Dried Motherwort (Leonurus Cardiaca, 益母草)- A Truly Amazing Herb Good For PMS, Peri/Menopause, Heart Palpitations/Arrhythmias, Anxiety

Dried Motherwort From China

Hi there, dear friends 😀

As I  am now experiencing really distracting intense irregular heartbeats daily (for which my cardiologist said were benign and non-life threatening 🙄 ) and I have been been going through worse peri-menopausal symptoms this year … it is quite a daily struggle for me to get back to my “normal” life on the go like in previous years to take care of my family 😥 .

So, when Christine dropped by HERE  at my blog earlier this week and told me that I could take motherwort in tincture form to help me through menopause and to calm my heart, and also to take hawthorn tincture to strengthen my heart,
